With a glorious climate, a relaxed pace of life, and a wealth of golden sand beaches, a move to a beautiful Mediterranean country such as Cyprus is certainly inviting, but how do you get to live that dream? With the Cyprus Permanent Residency Programme, relocating to Cyprus is actually much easier than you may think.

The requirements

There’s a minimum investment requirement of just €300,000 + VAT which must be made in property in Cyprus. The applicant must show an income from abroad of at least €30,000/year. This income increases by €5,000 per dependant (spouse and children) and €8,000 for each parent/parent in law. Every permit holder must also visit Cyprus at least once every two years. The only additional requirement, besides the financial ones, is a clean criminal record.

The Benefits

There are many benefits of being a resident of Cyprus that go beyond the 300 days of sunshine every year. When applying for the Cyprus Permanent Residency Programme, you can include your spouse, children up to the age of 25, and your parents, all on the one application. With the lowest crime rates in Europe and a very high standard of education and healthcare, Cyprus is perfect for families. Low rates of tax give a high standard of living, and as a Cypriot citizen, you have ease of access throughout Europe. For business owners, low corporate tax, and easy connections to three continents make Cyprus even more appealing.
